I'm expecting a package to arrive on Monday. Adobe Creative Suite: Design Premium

  • Photoshop CS5 Extended
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Flash Professional
  • Dreamweaver
  • Fireworks
  • Acrobat Pro
Lightroom 3 will also be arriving. Over $2,000 worth of software. My cost? $385. Isn't student pricing great? LOL!

I've actually thought of getting my daughter to buy some of the academic versions, at first I was thinking you robbed a bank!

Bill, this is too funny!

I've resorted to substitute teaching in the public schools . . . primary reason, to buy more lenses (and software . . .sigh) It's a good thing I still love kids :)

Truth be told, I'm also getting Office 2010 with this...same $385 price. I've already upgraded, so that package will be given to my parents.

Gotta love student pricing! I can't wait to see what kind of deals I can get on lenses and lighting muhahaha!

I'm running most of that on 6 GB on my laptop, which has an i7 proc. CS5 and LR3 kill my desktop, which is an old Pentium D 3.4 with 4 GB of RAM. Working on a deal on a gently used workstation with dual xeons and 8 GB of RAM.

The setup I'm looking at is an i5 mated with a Sandy Bridge motherboard. Can squeeze 16GB of RAM out of this machine, and is a possibility I've considered. Looking at throwing in dual video cards as well.
