I've resorted to substitute teaching in the public schools . . . primary reason, to buy more lenses (and software . . .sigh) It's a good thing I still love kids

Truth be told, I'm also getting Office 2010 with this...same $385 price. I've already upgraded, so that package will be given to my parents.

Just so happens that I work for a company who builds computers. Was working on a spec today as a matter of fact. I'm thinking 8GB of RAM should be enough to run all this.

I'm running most of that on 6 GB on my laptop, which has an i7 proc. CS5 and LR3 kill my desktop, which is an old Pentium D 3.4 with 4 GB of RAM. Working on a deal on a gently used workstation with dual xeons and 8 GB of RAM.

The setup I'm looking at is an i5 mated with a Sandy Bridge motherboard. Can squeeze 16GB of RAM out of this machine, and is a possibility I've considered. Looking at throwing in dual video cards as well.
