Can I change the metadata?

My silly sister took a photo with her point and shoot, whilst on holiday. When I try to import this pic into iPhoto it shoots into January this year instead of October. She doesn't have the date set on her camera. Not important to her. So now I'm wondering how I can change the date of the pic via Photoshop or iPhoto or whatever, so that her photo can sit in amongst all the others from the trip. All suggestions welcome! Cheers, Brad :)

In iPhoto, open the Event the picture is in. Click on the picture so you have the yellow line around it. Go up to the 'Photos' tab at the top of the screen (on the line at the top, not the iPhoto folder). The first option is 'adjust time and date'. Click on that....and away you go.

I know Lightroom will let you change it. There are other free exif editors out there, some easier to use than others, but given that I have lightroom I haven't tried any of them.

Fantastic! Thanks mate. I should have looked harder but I was looking in Photoshop rather than iPhoto. Thanks again Reverb. Cheers...Brad :)

I am using Windows Vista and was able to change the date without any software. I opened the properties for the photo then clicked on Details. From there I easily changed the date using the mouse. Not sure if it works on any other operating system though.
