Lightroom 5 offer from Adorama

I just received an email from Adorama offering the full version of Lightroom 5 for $99--supposedly because I've bought a few expensive items there. Since I already purchased Lightroom 3 then upgraded to Lightroom 4, I should still be eligible to get the upgrade price to Lightroom 5 boxed version which is less, shouldn't I?

If so, do you think if I get the $99 full version of Lightroom 5, that I could flip it here and just add in the cost of shipping to a buyer and PayPal fees--I wouldn't be making any profit from flipping it--would just cover my out of pocket expenses.

Mods/Admin, please remove if you don't approve of this post--just want to help someone else out if possible--and wondering if it would be worth buying it at the sale price to begin with.

Look at ebay. I suspect that LR is available for $99 there. Flipping software is potluck at best. Just get the upgrade and be happy with it. ;)

Okay...so perhaps I won't purchase it. However, it is based on a coupon code. The link takes me here (looks to be out of stock at the moment). If someone is interested, let me know, and I can PM the coupon code. Don't know for sure if it will work, but supposedly it's available for ONE offer only. I haven't tried to enter the coupon code myself so it should work. Hopefully it will work for someone else. ;) It's a good price for someone new to Lightroom. :D

Thanks for the info, Hark, and the coupon link, Jake! My trial expired just before I left for vacation, and I had been waffling about making this purchase on my return (every dollar is dear!), but $50.00 off sealed the deal!

Agreed. Also, charging buyers your paypal fees is tacky. Just adjust your asking price accordingly if you feel ;)

I would say it's fair, considering the disclosure up front. How is it different than saying "+ shipping?" Just curious.

If he said, "I can buy it then sell it to your for $103.00" without explaining, that would seem tacky. ;). Of course, just all a matter of opinion.

It's like a store charging you more to use a credit card. They don't do that, they factor it into their pricing ;)
paypal fees are a part of doing business for the seller, and that miniscule fee provides protection for the parties involved :)

Point taken, and I will keep that in mind for the future. :) I simply wanted to help out someone else if possible without incurring any out-of-pocket fees. Fortunately Jake found a universal online link that will benefit far more than one person so I am quite happy with the outcome.

So hey...I've been called worse than tacky. ;) Seriously, my apologies as I wasn't trying to offend anyone. You're good by me though, carguy. :D
