A full year has now passed on owning the Z7, and what a year it has been! I have added the Z6 into the family too, along with a whole slew of lens. For native lens, I have the 14-30, 24-70 and the 35 1.8, but in addition, I picked up a new 60 mm macro G,
85 1.8G and 105 G macro, these I bought as my older versions D lens did not Auto Focus without

and so the year is now over halfway,, My Z7 is now 10 months old, and Z6 is 4 months or so.

I have become so comfortable with the Z family,, I wonder what mirror DSLRs are anymore, of course I had years playing with
Sony and Fuji, but the Nikon is the best of the systems.

I have to take a breather, no more new equipment

133 days since the last entry! but, seriously doubt anybody really noticed, as the comments in 7 years have been sparse as a
happy Canon mirrorless owner,, ok,, just kidding, but seriously, they have fallen behind,, even my most diehard Canon users are
planning to switch to Sony, no not Nikon, that would just kill them.

Off to Nikon for lens cleaning, typically, my local shops, but the sensor moved a bit too much to scare them
off with the IBIS in the Z7.

So, I'll get it back next week all spanking bright clean, and I will be extra extra careful, but over time, sticky
dust will get on the sensor.

    I just ordered supplies for

ok,,, techncially day 4,, but,, seems better to start on day 1.

now year 7 of this blog,, my how time flies!,,

Now waiting for the new Nikon 14-30 which may be a ground shaking lens, so interested in seeing this now
    wide angle.

The Z6 is one of the best all around mirrorless, so, if you don't need the

5 days left to finish year 6 of this Why Not a Blog,,

The Z7 really does well with night and long exposure. Here is a shot I took taking advantage of a full

moon that gives lots of ambient light. SB-900 worth it?-dsc_6139-smaler.jpg

20 more days! and year 6 is done! amazing. I used to do these blogs every single day for almost the first 4 years, now, once a month or so,,

The Z7 has provided such precision in manual focus that I am finding myself buying Zeiss lens, and Voigtlander not your easiest lens to use
but with the peak focus set to max, quite easy.

so,, how many of you have gotten either a Z6 or a Z7,

After 2 months now, I am putting my Z7 as the best Nikon camera for me persoonally. I have liked/loved many Nikon SLRs,
but only a few raised to my absolute favorites: they are now in this order .

    Nikon Z7

    Nikon D700/D800 -> replaced with a DF

Really getting into the Groove of the Z7, after now 6 weeks, I must say I am totally happy with the Z7, and soon the Z6 is coming out rounding
out the Nikon Mirrorless family. So anybody holding back don't fret, either of these cameras can meet your needs.

Perhaps one of the stand out differences between Nikon and its competitors,

Over 3 weeks now with the Z7, and how is it doing, ... fantastic, No regrets getting rid of the Sony Gear, as Nikon
has gotten most of this mirrorless right. The camera is way lighter then the heavy Nikon SLRs, but still a nice
heft to let you know you have Nikon.

The grip and use of the camera is very natural. I really like
