Where can I get a decent valued NEW Nikon D700 or D300 online?

I've tried ebay and craigslist, but most of the stuff is used. I'm not looking to get like half off or anything, just a good place where maybe there's a package deal with lens or something like that. Is there a good trusted online camera retailer out there?

B&H is the consistently best quality & most honest dealer I have ever bought from. NOT the cheapest, .. but just like Nikon, quality & reliability is WORTH the slightly higher price in my book.

I use Unique Photo in NJ. You can find them online. Great prices. Great service.

Are you in NJ? I appreciate when I order something online and it gets there the next day with ground shipping because their shipping center is in the same state or one over.

I am in NJ, about 45 minutes from the store. I don't know how their shipping is because I never shipped from them. I can tell you that they have what appears to be an enormous warehouse attached to the retail store but I never asked what was in it, so I can't guarantee it is all stock. The whole building is branded as Unique Photo so I would imagine all the space belongs to them and I don't believe they are building airplanes back there :). I would guess that their shipments come from Fairfield, NJ but, again, just a guess. I can tell you this. I live closer to NYC than I do to this store. I still go to this store.

Adorama, B&H Photo, or Calumet.

I have used all three repeatedly and they are all first class operations. I can recommend all of them.

Keep in mind that anyone advertising a significantly lower discount than Adorama, B&H, or Calumet is likely stripping batteries, chargers, manuals, Nikkor lenses, and accessories out of the boxes and charging you full retail price to buy them when you open the box and discover them missing.

Nikon USA [along with all other camera makers] runs a tight ship on their dealers and will not let them discount the product like appliances or cars. The larger authorized dealers sell enough product that Nikon USA allows them to discount a bit more than a single local retailer.

If anyone advertises 30, 40, or more percent off the MSRP as shown on Nikon's website, be VERY leery. They will either steal the accessories or you will never see the camera you ordered.

At the advise of a friend I researched a number of the firms advertising cheap prices. I found all of them had negative comments on Google. I bought my D300s, with winder and 14-24 lens from Adorama. I have since visited the store an was impressed with their attitude. I can say nothing negative about B&H or any other firm. When you find something that works you don't fix it.
