First off Canon over hypes their products, so be prepared to be let down.
That said, they still make a good camera and I hope they improve to keep the pressure on Nikon.

You need to get "Hands On".

I obviously like Nikons but you may get better results with a Canon.
If the camera is uncomfortable to hold and the controls hard to use, it won't help to have "the best camera".

"Please no bias"

Curious what you would like to hear from Nikon Forum?

I buy products for the long haul, I can use lenses on my Nikon bodies that go back forever (F mount), sorry to say not so with Canon, I think they have changed their lens mount 3 times as I recall.

Once you start investing in better quality glass, the change of a lens mount is enough to really make one angry!

You're a funny guy!!! I highly doubt anyone here is going to tell you to get a Canon. That would be like you walking into a Honda dealer and having the sales guy tell you, "go across the street and buy a Toyota". Come on!! I suggest you make a list of needs. From there, choose some models from both companies that fit your needs. Like anything else, everything will have it's pros and cons. Again, no one on here is going to tell you Canon is better... that is just silly thinking;)
