Thanks Pat. Did the selective color in the camera. Don't think ViewNX 2 does that in PP. If it does, I haven't discovered it yet.

I played a bit with it here at wiork one day (in camera). Not too bad... I have not had a good "subject" to try it on for real yet..

That truck in my daileys was done in LR4 buy just turning off all colors... (I had already taken it in full color)

I don't like the black and white effect for these photos, I think it makes the images look dull and subtracts from the quality of image.

Marilynne, I really like your black and white effect for these photos, I think it makes the images look very artistic, bright and retro in an exciting way, and definitely adds to the quality of the image. Thank you for sharing with us your vision of photography.

Very nice Marilynne, I particularly like the desert rose shot. I think the touch of color against the B&W Bokeh really sets it off, nice work!

Way to go Marylinne! I also like the the pink flowers, because the selective coloring is restricted only at the flowers and not to other parts of the picture!

Love that fountain!! Great job... I have been wanting to try something like (have not found that good of a fountain here yet!)

Re: Post #15

Nice clear B/W images, Marilynne.

Do you know of any special reasons they have the tree "propped" up?

Thanks! No, but it must have been like that for a long time. Most of it seems dead. The Orchid Society doesn't live there anymore so we had no one to ask. I do have their new phone number. I'm going to call after the new year and see if anyone knows what some of the trees are.
