    Moon over Topsail

    Moon over Topsail
I've found shooting the moon to be pretty easy by itself and taking long exposure night photos to be fairly easy. But trying to get a moon shot *with* landscape at night? That takes some camera tricks.

So, I took a photo of the moon, a long exposure shot of the ocean and then combined in Photoshop - and added a glow around the moon.

Hi JPar, What a wonderful "moon above sea" photo! May I ask you to show the long exp shot of the ocean? Thanks.

The short exposure moon shot is basically just a shot of the moon. Nothing special. I zoomed all the way with my 15-200mm lens and then cropped the moon in post process. Then in Photoshop, just copied and pasted the moon out of the shot.
