Autumn Classic - classic car racing

I attended the Autumn Classic car event as Castle Combe circuit yesterday, it was raining when I arrived but still presented some good photo opportunities and as the circuit is not that huge it offers quite a few suitable vantage points to get some good photos.

The morning slowly dried out and I was able to take a quick walk around the paddock and capture a few images of the cars and people working on them before heading back track side to capture some images of the racing as the day brightened.

A good day of classic cars showing they can still deliver speed and excitement.
Once again, the Nikon delivered the goods and never missed a beat!

The full set is available to view on my blog - 571 Photography Apologies for it being image heavy.

Ha ha, thanks Nikonpup - there were a few that by their driving seemed to have their eyes closed but despite the speed and circuit there were very few incidents (mainly drivers breaking down and occasionally running off track - not quite formula 1 though!).

It is a fun circuit and they hold some superb days of racing as well as offering track days for both cars & bikes for those willing to risk it.

A great photo opportunity and the added bonus of being able to walk around the paddock and grab a few shots all for a very sensible entrance fee.
