and it's Christmas time! Big crowds, low light, and rooms full of treasures. What a place......seriously, it is amazing to think of all that went into the making of this mansion. The woodwork, art, designs, etc. had to be absolutely time consuming and expensive.......craftsmanship not seen today for sure. Honestly, it was overwhelming to get pics on the fly so to speak.......I would like to visit again when allowed. But I soldiered on, handheld and all (they didn't allow tripod/monopods, which wouldn't have worked anyway in this instance). Here are some random pics that I took.....and this newbie couldn't do this place the justice it deserves.
