15 megapixel Nikon camera

Which Nikon model is a 15 megapixel camera. How much does this model cost?

I don't think there is a 15 MP from nikon. There's only 14.2 coolpix s6000 and maybe 1 or 2 others... If you absolutely need a 15 mp cam, you'll have to go with an eos 50d.

Is the megapixel count your main criteria for choosing a camera?

More megapixels is not better unless you plan on printing large format photos. All it does is eat up more memory on you cards and computer.

Not only does it take up more memory but often times if you are shooting in low light you will get more bleed over of light and more noise. Anything over 10-12MP for the average consumer is just marketing. If you are not going to blow up the pictures to huge margins it often is more of a curse. If you do want to go with large MP's, you need to make sure you get a superior sensor and preferably an FX one to make sure you don't do more harm than good.
