Nikon 35mm f/2 D testing testing.

Not a bad little lens. SOOC wide open Focus point on the D and T in the middle of "Behind the Glass. I'm going to give this lens a little workout tomorrow before I decide what to do with it. I have the 20mm and the 50mm so the FL doesn't really excite me much. What does excite me however is these D lenses.

Hey @Blacktop how are you set for Nikkor Macro?

I am zero into macro and have a near mint Nikkor 60 F2.8 AF Micro D that gets zero use by me.

Swap possible? It is quite pristine.

I have been looking for one of these....love little D primes in my pocket!

I sent it back to @Bill16 for a swap a while ago. Sorry.

Sorry my friend but I'm not into getting rid of it now that I got it back. Besides I have a nice 105mm micro af-d lens for my macro, an it works great for me! :)

Thanks @Bill16

Perhaps if I give the 60 a fair chance I will get into it.....once again despite my best efforts I have too many lenses overlapping! Not as bad as my A mount days but still too many.

I so do want the little 35 f2 and the 20 f2.8 D....but the well is dry for $$$ now, bought 2 new surfboards this summer....so the only way I get new gear now is via the swop route.

You know how that goes you are the swop king!

Yep I'm very low on $$$ now too! Lol But I doubt I'm the swop king here! Lol :D

Thanks @Bill16

I noticed the 35-70 AF-D in your sig. Do you think the 35mm f/2 would be that much of an improvement?

Nope, but it would be a big improvement in my pocket to carry around on casual walks. The 35-70 AF D f2.8 is brilliant but very heavy and awkward....when I go out armed with it and the 80-200 f2.8 2 ring I carry a heavy load indeed!

I find I shoot the 35-70 almost always at 35 anyway so leaving it home would likely not impact a shoot....and the 60 AF D micro hasn't been out of the bag in months, used it for a couple of eBay pics last time it was out of the bag.

Here is a recent pic from the 35-70 D
