Tokina 12-28 new?

Now I'm even more confused. Just about to pull the trigger now on the used 11-16 in D condition, when I come across a brand new Tokina 12-28mm f/4 for a hundred more.

Somebody just smack me.

That's the lens I would recommend. It replaced my 12-24/4. It'll be worth the $100 more.

I keep struggling with how fast do I really need a UWA lens to be. The 10-24mm is variable aperture, but when I compare exposures versus my 24-120/f4 shutter times are much slower on the UWA. That makes me think I need a faster UWA. My head though tells me I don't need faster for landscapes, so the Tokina 12-28 being more expensive than the 11-16 has me scratching my head.

Charlie, it is not more expensive. The Tokina 11-16mm price was for a used one, and the 12-28 was for a new one.

I just ordered the 11-16mm. The one with E+ condition just re-appeared on Adorama for 314.00

I'm going to end up trading the 10-24 for the 11-16mm, I can just smell it. And adding a 16-35mm would bridge me the rest of the way across my focal lengths if needed.

I was looking at the Nikkor 10-24mm yesterday, and almost bought one for 600.00 but my wife was looking at me real funny like.
Anyway, now the only thing I want(not really need) is the 70-300.VR
