Nikon 24mm f1.4G....... does anyone own one?

I keep checking out the 24/1.4 even though I need it like another hole in my head. If you have one, what's your opinion? I'd use it primarily for indoor architectural shots. I'm debating whether my 16-35/4 or 20/2.8 will cover my needs and that spending another 1800 smackers is a waste. :upset:

I don't have one but if i was to shoot an indoor architectural shot, i would choose the 24mm tse lens. It is one of those specialty lenses that can do a better job imo instead of my 16-35mm lens.

Ted, before you go out and spend that kind of money, just do a few pano shots and stitch them in PS. You can get a lot wider than the 24 when you do a few shots and stitch them together after the fact.

The questions raised, along with comments, "forced" me to go out and take some shots with my 20/2.8. Long story short..... I have no practical need for the 24/1.4. The End.

I often wonder how well the 24 1.4 sells, considering what else could be bought for the same or lesser price that does a similar job.

Hmm, 24 f1.4 is a superb lens, ultra-sharp and amongst the best.
However it all depends upon what you want to achieve with the shots you are taking :)
