Post your photos of Feedback. Just kidding, unless you have a photo that illustrates your feedback.

Now that the New Weekly Challenge is wrapping up the second week, what do you think?

Not many submissions this week which was disappointing, don't know why?

The monthly challenge is going strong though which is good.

I think its a good idea but I feel that this weeks challenge is a little tougher than water. Maybe fire could be a monthly challenge. I keep thinking about fire and what would I do, keep coming up with things that I can't do because of fire bans in our area due to drought.

I think we should keep doing them and just note that some will work and some will not work.

I think we have a good enough start. Let the idea that the weekly challenge is back. It'll grow like the monthly challenge in time. Fire was a tough one for weekly I think,

Fire did seem to bewilder people more than I imagined it would. My pick, so I take full credit for pushing the envelope of the imagination.:)

Can't believe no one posted a photo of that big burning ball of gas in the sky.

I think the shorter time frame makes the weekly challenges more... well... challenging; and that probably won't appeal to everyone. There's less time to think, less time to shoot, less time to process. I like these aspects, personally, though it may limit how often I can submit entries.

At the moment I'm on the fence with wanting to be able to submit multiple entries... Sometimes I think that would be a good idea, sometimes I don't.

I wasn't bewildered as much as I was want to shoot something. Thought of something yesterday, but it was after I lit the cigar.

I think these things take a bit of time to get rolling, but I do like the single image submission as I believe it forces you to think about what you want to shoot and self-edit, which is a very valuable skill to have. Being able to enter multiples is a bit like "spray and pray" shooting. Sometimes you wind up with 2 great shots and have to force yourself to choose (hint: it doesn't matter, you'll always pick the wrong one), other times you can got a week not finding anything to shoot, like this week. Either way, it's good for you.

I'm new to this kind of photography and I like the weekly challenge like it is. One shot is fine. The challenge of fire this week makes me "expand" my horizons to find something appropriate to shoot and getting it set up. My thinker is not working so good at the expansion, though. Ha!

I'm loving it so far. It definitely gets me thinking and helps enhance my creative mind. I actually tried a couple of things with fire this week that I thought would look cool and instead they were horrid.

I like the weekly challenge, and I like the fact that you can only submit one photo each week.
Although I didn't submit anything on the fire thing, I'm looking forward to next weeks theme.

Same goes for me. One photo is enough and I like that it takes just a short time to the next subject. And the vote system is great.

This is why it's called a challenge. Otherwise it would be called an easy weekly shoot. Step out of the box a little. I feel the pictures like the monthly shouldn't be too enhanced. You sometimes you have to give that photo some "POP"! I took this weeks challenge and did a basic shot. Who knows! Next week! WOW factor!!

The Team is working on tweaking the cut off times and still maintaining both the submission and polling durations, so watch for the updates.

Make sure to read the guidelines for each Challenge, as they may change slightly until we arrive at what works best. And you never know when a special challenge may require a special guideline.

The submission cutoff has been moved back 1 day to Tuesday at midnight US eastern time for the "Stuck Indoors" Challenge. Likes will continue until Wednesday at midnight US eastern time.

The next challenge will be announced early on Wednesday, so we are not losing a full day of submission time going forward.

@Roy1961, @ptcasper & @oldhippy, one of you will be the winner of the "Fire" challenge and pick the topic for the next challenge, so think about what you will choose. The winner will receive a PM (private message), from one of the Challenge Team asking for the topic after the poll closes Sunday morning.

A challenge winner also has the option of picking from a short list of topics, so don't worry if you draw a blank, we've got you covered.:)
