Test Wildlife Shots with Nikon 200-500mm VR

I have had shot this lens for a while...have a look at them at https://www.flickr.com/photos/edfy/albums/72157659224459226

looks like a nice piece of kit. at least equal to any of the 150-600 models. not that i am going to rush out and buy one.

Good shots there.

Very nice work. Images are very clear and crisp. I particularly like the bird sitting on the lily flowers.

Good shots, would be great if we could see the EXIF data along with the images. And some uncropped images aswell.

According to camera labs it tops the current selection of 150-600s

No but thats Nikons target customer base,although i will not be buying one its nice to see Nikon respond to something in a market orientated way,rather than doing there normal thing of going there own way.

.....but they have gone their own way by making it a 200-500.
this surprises me as i expected a more direct competitor. the focal range alone would deter me from moving from my sigma c. (unless its close up performance equaled my 300f4/tc14 combo).
i suppose there is method in their madness as its quality seems good.
come on nikon. stop dithering with lenses and give us a pro dx body!
