Faster replacement for 18-200 travel lens - D7000

This is for general use travel/family photography on my D7000. I have other lenses that I use for paying gigs.
Is there anything remotely close in focal length to the 18-200 with optics that are as good as or better? Specifically I am looking for something faster for those occasions when I need a good DX zoom in low light situations with versatile zoom range (I don't do wildlife).

There is nothing faster in the DX line of zoom lenses in that focal range or close to it.. 3.5-5.6 is all you're going to get. If you want a faster zoom, then you're going to have to get a 24-120 f/4 FX lens.

My wife shoot with the 18-200 on her D7000 and I was shooting with a 14-140 on my D7100 and the quality on the 18-140 is better in my opinion but I wanted something a little faster and what I think is better IQ so I just moved up to the 24-120 f4 FX lens. Have not shot any with it since I just went through the fine tune last night but I think it is going to be a much nicer lens. I it a lot heavier though so a long day shooting might prove to be tiring.

I have been sort of looking for a broader range all day lens than my 18-105.. I was considering the 18-200 for the added range but maybe I should give more thought to the 18-140?? Why did you find it better Don? My only concern if I would regret not having the longer range... but only time and ME can tell that! :)

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm seeing here pretty much what I expected - it doesn't exist. That's a real bummer because I would upgrade in a heartbeat if something fit the bill.
My main "walkaround" camera is my Fuji X100S - I take it everywhere and the images it creates are amazing! However, I still have times when I need a fast superzoom on my D7000. I don't shoot enough paid gigs to warrant switching to FX, but I was shooting a large indoor event a few weeks back and had a hard time getting enough light to the sensor at the long end of the lens.

In my use no matter how careful I have it fine tuned and how careful I am in the shooting it is just not quite as sharp.

Looks like I may need to bite the bullet and step up to the D750. If I sell my D7000 and Fuji X-T1 I can afford the D750. Then I'll see which lenses to keep and which to sell as FX glass is EXPENSIVE!!!

The added range of the 18-140 is nice and I really do miss it sometimes using my 24-120. I also thought the IQ was just a bit better on the 18-140 but I have nothing other than my gut to back that up.

Really? I'm impressed with the images I've seen come through the 18-140mm lens, but haven't gotten my hands on one yet. That was the lens I was debating with before I made the decision, but the fixed aperture and FX format where what won me over. Consequently, I thought the 24-120 was a big step up in IQ for me, but having not compared both directly, it could just be me WANTING to see better IQ from that lens. Sometimes I'm too good at rationalizing anything. :)

I was using the 18-140 as my walk around lens before I moved up to the 24-120. I do think the 24-120 edges out the 18-140 but sometimes I do miss the wide end of the 18.
