I decided to start this thread to showcase the quality of the Nikon 70-300mm lens. Images taken with the Tamron and Sigma 70-300mm lens are also welcome. Please let us know the manufacturer of the lens used for your images. I guess I will start.

I'd say 70-80% of all my non-event shots were with the VR. Excellent lens in between nothing and the legendary pro stuff.

thank you. I got the Swift early one morning over the garden and they were lazily flying around a lot slower than normal, still quite a few shots ended up in the recycle bin!
I should have said my shots are with the Nikon lens.

My other hobby is radio controlled model aircraft. Whenever I go out to play with my toys I take the camera and the Nikon AF-S 70-300 f4.5-5.6 always gives great results.

Just posted a few more snaps in my D700 thread from my D700 70-300 AF VR combo.

She is a cracking good lens IMHO. Sharp, quick and accurate AF and with the D700 AF tracks like a laser with a high hit rate.

Love it, nikkor 70-300 AF VR really surprised me.
