Marathon shoot

I have been asked by a local paper to shoot some photos at our local marathon, i have the D7100 and a Nikon 70/ 200 F2.8 lens and an Nikon 18 /140 F4.5 lens so what lens would give me the best results, and what aperture would be best also?

I'm the "official" shooter for the STL Downtown St. Pat's Parade and Run and I use an FX body with 24-70 and DX with 70-200. I find that I use the 70-200 more than the wide zoom. I shoot manual and most of my shots are between f/3.2 and f/6.3. I'd suggest you take both lenses, just in case.
