XEquals has made a bluetooth dongle called
blueSLR that will allow you to use your iPhone (iPod touch or iPad) as a shutter release for your Nikon. There's an accompanying app of course, shown above. You can control focus, shutter speed, timed shots, and add GPS information from 300 feet away. Newer
Nikon DSLR's are supported. The dongle is $149 with free shipping if you pre-order.
Apparently the company is also working on Android and Blackberry versions of the application. You can be notified by email when these versions will be available by using the
