Florida Gulf Coast 2016

Just made it down yesterday to Pensacola. Here for the week and hope to have plenty of relaxing shoot time. I'll post up most of my stuff in here to keep them all together. If anyone is in the area this week; hit me up. Maybe we can go shoot for a couple hours.

Didn't take the kids long to get back into the beach spirit.

Not a bad way to start of our first morning:

Found a nesting pair of Osprey nearby to watch this week.

I will be about an hour and a half away at Dauphin Island, AL.

Just east of you is the Naval Oaks area of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, and just west of you is Fort Pickens. Both are good places to visit for photography.

Enjoy the area. I'm about 40 miles east of you, but have a very busy week at work coming up. If I can break away for a bit, I'll PM you the day before.

Have a fun and safe stay.

Hey WM! We're staying right up the street from the National Seashore. I think we have Ft. Pickens on the list for Tuesday. Really looking forward to that one. We've one Ft. Morgan, but this'll be our first time to Pickens.

Hope you can squeeze in a few hours!

David, I forgot to mention to you that further east in Navarre, out on the Navarre causeway, the Black-capped Skimmers are mating and on their nests. I'm informed that there is a place to pull your car over and stop to take photos.

If you do go, first of all, drive slowly where the nesting bird signs are and don't get out of your car; just roll the window down and shoot from your car. The birds are not bothered by car traffic, but become stressed by people outside their cars.

Had the great privilege of meeting up with Don & Gloria for about an hour or so today. Was a lot of fun. Wished we could have spent more time together for sure, but my kiddos had other ideas! LoL. He even let me strap on his 150-600 for a few shots at some Osprey while we were out. Thanks again, guys! Hope we can do it again.
