I have decided to start a new thread this year. I will be posting all manner of photos into here, whatever I take at any given time.
This won't be a 366, as I cannot commit to posting photos everyday, but I will try to post more often than I did last year.

Greenants prepare to make a meal of this poor Grasshopper.

These Perch are waiting for the rains to come, the water level is getting low in the creek.

This is the same Jumping Spider that I posted for shot #1 in my "52" thread. I was tossing up which photo to use, ended up going with the other one, but I really like this shot also.
The sunlight was coming from the righthand side and really lit up the colors .

We had a big downpour go through and it was just starting look like it might clear a bit, I looked out the kitchen window and saw 2 male Rock Wallabies on the log on the edge of the bush shaping up and doing a bit of kick-boxing.

I quickly changed the macro lens out for the big Tamron and headed outside, by the time I got into position this male had kicked the other one off the log and he was sitting there looking pleased with himself.

It was still pretty dim light, so the settings weren't ideal, but such is life.

I bought a Tokina 11-16 f2.8 a while back to do some real-estate photography, apart from using it for that job it has sat in the drawer virtually unused, until today.

I had a spare 15 minutes this afternoon so I went for a walk down to the creek that runs past my house and took a few shots. Its certainly different to shoot than a normal range lens.

We have had 250mm / 10" of rain in the last 5 days, so my creek has had a bit of a flush out. It is good to see it flowing nicely again.

When I got home yesterday afternoon there were a few Rainbow Lorikeets in the Umbrella trees.
Colourful little buggers, and very noisy.....:)
