Figured I should get back in here and at least start myself a little 2016 thread. Won't be attempting any 365 this year, but should be able to post up some random goodness once in a while.

Got out and shot for a couple hours today for the first time in a while. Felt good.

Let's start this off with a little HDR from today - Flood Waters at the Victory Outreach

Welcome back, David. Hope you are settled into your new house and getting things all squared around. Very nice photo for a 2016 start.

Thanks mich, Walt! Glad to be holding the camera and out shooting again. Other than a few family and senior shoots, I haven't shot in over two months! Ouch!! I'll try to hang out here a bit more often as well. Feeling a little more at home and settled. The new place is good.

Thank you, Pat. We skated by without much issue, but so many have been seriously affected. Hope that as the waters recede, recovery comes quick for them all.

Welcome Back David

Thanks, Kevin. Hope to stick around a bit more often now that the move has wound down. Got the camera back in the front seat and I'm ready to start shooting again!

Didn't shoot much of anything for the last couple of months, but did manage a few photo shoots for clients. Took on my first few family jobs and the most difficult first senior shoot ever. Planning on tackling many more this coming spring if all goes well. Here's a sampling of a few shots.

From my first family shoot:

The angry skater senior who's mom made him cut 10" off his skater haircut an hour before the shoot ...

And the most recent shoot for a family who's son is adorable and has autism. I was so happy to be able to help this family get some shots of their son that they just had not been able to do previously.

Great shots David! Looking at them on my phone, but I don't see anything that you need to do differently. You are making some happy families and building a clientele it appears

First I liked the color version better, then I liked the B&W, and now I like the color again.....
Oh wait...no I like the B&W.:)

LoL. Thanks, Pete! I've been doing that dance myself. I like them both, but just keep getting this feeling that something is missing that could add one more layer of "feeling" to them.

Figured I better put up the original shot that I just put up in the Monthly challenge thread since the EXIF doesn't show after using the little app to age edit the pic.

Started with this:

Finished with this:

I only wish the app would run these edits and not destroy the file size. Down to less than 1mb from nearly 6. Need to find something that gives these effects full size.
