Some days i find my 150-600 and D7100 too much to walk round with, looking at the future this could arise more often, this started me thinking could i use the V2 instead, well i think with more practice and a better understanding of the V2 files it may be possible.
Borrowed a second hand Nikon 70-300 VR from my local camera shop (which i may keep and trade in my 55-300) gave it a go today, the immediate problems i found where the mirror less system is too slow for my normal working system, even if switched on all the time when you bring it up to your eye and press the button to focus it seems to take ages to be ready,BIF are a another story:D.
So what ever i do will go in this thread in case any one else has a fancy to try it.

As i say a longer lens will be needed, thinking the new 300mm pf and a 1.4 converter,if rumors about IQ are right it could be with a 2x also.

With the 300mm max i am having to crop too much, the files just will not stand it,but its a learning curve.

You are shooting CX 300 mm which equals FX 810mm and still having to crop? Are you too far away from your subject?

Peeking at the EXIF I'm guessing your shooting in aperture mode mostly at f/8? Where you have distance between your subject and the background, the bokeh looks nice.

I should have my 70-300 this week and can't wait to try it out. How does it feel on the V2?
