Highly unlikely I'll manage a daily upload but hopefully this thread will push me to take more photos and learn in the process. It'll also be nice to keep my pictures mostly in one place and hopefully be able to see an improvement in quality as time goes by.
I'll start by uploading some of my better shots to date.

So Monday was a strange day spent at a castle with medieval folk fighting each other with clubs and swords among other things.

I spent the afternoon by the Tyne in Newcastle watching some speed boat racing. First time I've shot anything like this, here are a few that I think turned out ok.

Crossing Newcastle's High Level Bridge for the first I found the fence covered in padlocks. Might have to make a trip back up and add my own and taken a few more different shots sometime soon.

Wish I'd have taken this one for last months "Colourful bokeh" challenge...

Love the "Red legs on the run"!

Thanks! Every time I drive down this track they run like this in front of me and I was getting frustrated that they never sat and posed for a portrait. Then I thought of this shot and I like how it turned out. I think it tells you more about the birds themselves and their surroundings than a nice frame filling portrait would.

I've just spent a very enjoyable 4-5 days in the West Highlands of Scotland. I didn't manage to photograph a lot of what I wanted to, I would have loved to have gotten pictures of Eagles and Otters or even a majestic Red Stag but it wasn't to be. On my previous trip I took lousy photos of Golden and White tailed eagles with my basic compact camera, if only I'd have had the same opportunities this time! I did see my first ever wild otter this time around but it was at least 200m away.

Still I got some shots I like and here are some of them.

So as often as I can wasn't very often at all it seems. I will try to do better.
Sheep are well under way with their lambing so I've been out to get some shots of them this week.
