Eyelight's Rest of the Story

Okay, so the first click of the day isn't always something I'd like to share:hopelessness:, and then sometimes I have to do things like work or drive for a few days and get sidetracked. Decided to start a complimentary thread to post various and sundry images that fall before or after the first click.

Like this 40,000' tall Poodle I found looking down on me with 2 little glowing eyes.

Took me a moment, but I think I see the flared nostrils to the left. Just gotta love clouds. Used to lay on the ground and see what we could see. Need to do that more.

Reckon I shoulda put that last one in the abstract thread.

A few shots from our spider hunt last night. These are all with the SB-400 Speedlight.

Edited to add the crop percents for especially 2nd and 3rd since they were cropped significantly. The little bugger was probably about the size of a pencil eraser.

It were a Lightning Bug, aka Firefly.


This one not as crisp as I'd like, but shows the hindwings under the elytra (fore wings). See the little man in the tuxedo?


A little special effects created off camera for your viewing wonderment. Need to try and do one of these with the wings spread. Hmmmm.

Best bird-in-flight yet. Need to work on my telepathic ability to have the bird fly into the depth of field.

Mud bath anyone??
