Hi all,
I thought I'd bask in the glory of the cool kids, and pop myself a thread up here... It won't be a 365, but I will pop up my favourite shots showing the part of the world I live in. I hope you enjoy, and any pointers for improvement are always welcome!

Without further ado, I'll start with last weekend's trip to Reivaulx Abbey in the North York Moors National Park. The abbey was built in around 1132, and shutdown by King Henry VIII in 1538 ( Read more here Rievaulx Abbey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )

The trip was a good chance for me to play with the 8-16mm wide lens out in good light on a dry day, and I have to say I am very pleased with the sharpness at such a low focal length!

Something a bit different today, needed to put some new hardware in at work and while I was there check out the light etc for photos. My employer is creating a new brochure, and has asked if I can do some photos for it (Paid, of course!) so anyway, here are a few test shots while I was there..... Seriously limited space to work in!!

For those who care, check out my quality cabling! lol

A ride out into the Yorkshire dales, West Yorkshire.

Old Mill... These mills are from the industrial revolution, and now are all flats.

You may have an ornament of a dog in your front room - But do you have an ornament of a stoned dog?

Nice shots Steve.....hopefully we can visit Germany and a few other countries next year while our son puts us up. He's in the Army and being stationed in Germany starting in July. we have a cruise planned for September this year so we're going to try and go next fall. Would love to see the relics.

I'll now need to buy more books etc, but I really do like how intuitive the suite is... These were just a fast run through, with the set taking about 20 mins.

A few re-edits of an older shot... Love the art-deco style of this train!
