      I utterly loved this lens in my "film only" days, it worked well with Kodachrome 25 for utterly sharp images, though once I'd transitioned to solely Nikon Digital DSLRs, I bought a 60mm f.2.8 micro, and found the later lens exhbited marginally greater contrast and sharpness. The old non-af micro Nikkor is still a great lens though - it can be bought used for very little on Ebay.
