Re: AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR

Considering how cheap this lens is being shifted by the like of Jacobs in the UK (less than £200) , this lens represents some great glass for very little cash - unlike its 55-200mm stablemate, this lens is equipped with the very much more durable metal bayonet mount - dont expect it to stand up to a 'professional' pounding, but used with care and taking into account the excellent image stabilisation characteristics and surprisingly high quality of the optics - it would be hard indeed to be disappointed with this lens.
