Maybe daft or not even remotely correct list;

when I walk them steep mountains and as usual have my d7200 "on my belly" with a 20 /1.8 (sigh.....)
I often get in touch with Mother Nature as rocks, mushy dirt or wet mires :)

So, I alway try to have METAL lebs hoods on, like the old and small HN-1 on my 25/2.8

But not so easy on them big primes as 20/1.8, 45/1.8, 12-28 /4
--- only contemporary BIG plastic lenss hoods


SO, what would be the most price effective lens protection filters??
I have kind of standarized on Hoya HMC UV on the big 77s - just recently
I got some Kenko 77 mm at eBay for half the price.

Any comments on this?

You need to pick up some of these and use cheap uv filters.

these are great and will save a front element
