Same again with my 105mm 2.8. Same procedures as last time. (It's so much easier to open 13 RAW files from my D800 since I quadrupled the RAM in my PC.) 7 to 11 is the magic zone (though I suspect camera shake at f9).
I do have FoCal, but it never really impressed me. I still have to change all the settings manually for fine-tuning auto focus, for example. The only thing learned from my recent experiment is generally keep it between 5.6 and 11 for the sharpest photos, no matter the lens. Of course, you have to go down to 2.8 if you want that creamy bokeh.
