What lens is next?

OK I have the following for my D90:

Nikkor 50mm f/1.8
Nikkor 18-105 f/3.5-5.6 (Kit with D90)
Tamron 18-270 f/3.5-6.3

I eventually want to be able to shoot anything at anytime with the less amount of lenses possible. I would like to keep it to under $500 if possible.

What lens is next? Thanks

Extra wide 10-20 Sigma or Tokina from ebay or second hand you maybe can get for that price.

Here is what I'm putting together with my D90 and the order I'm buying them in. Might have it finished by March 2012.

(input and comments on my choices are welcome please PM me do not reply in this thread)

DX Trinity fast glass
(Your next NAS attack)

35mm 1.8 Nikon (have) bought
17-50mm 2.8 Sigma (NAS) second $650 apox.
70-200mm 2.8 Sigma (NAS) first $1400 apox. (new ver.)

OR

70-200mm 2.8 Sigma (NAS) first $ 950 apox. (old ver)

Yes I know these lens are not had for under $500 as you would like. I know we all are on a budget and want everything now, but If your that serious about your photography and you want to shot anything any time I would recommend saving for fast glass.

After hanging around here for a year I have learned if you can fast glass it the way to go.

My 2 cents worth

It depends on what do you like to photograph.

If you enjoy landscapes, a ultra wide angle will be great. There's the 11-16 Tokina and the 10-20 Sigma if you like to keep your investment low, if not you can go for a 12-24 Nikon.

If you like Macro, you have several options: Nikon 105mm VR, Nikon 85mm VR or the Tamron 90mm.

Personally, I'd sell your Nikon 18-105mm as it matches the same focal distances as the 18-270 Tamron.
