PCC will be adding a new feature at some point in the future. It's called Content-Aware Crop, and you can see how it automatically fills in the edges after straightening.

Like the auto fill on stitched panoramas then.

I haven't used that feature. Supposedly they will be releasing an update that contains new features. Will be interesting to see how well it really works for their customers.

I have used the pano auto fill a few time and was amazed at how good a job it did. Always better if it is sky or grass or bushes etc busy things fill in easier

I need new software (currently using PS 2.0).
This looks like just the ticket.

Perhaps someday I can get my head around RAW!

Is this software that one may purchase, or is it available only through a monthly subscription?

Call me old-fashioned (ignorant may apply), but I don't trust Cloud-anything.

For a long time it may only be in subscription versions,it could filter down to Elements for purchase eventually.

I very seriously doubt they will ever add the special additions to anything other the the CC versions. Just like Lightroom now in the Retail standalone does not get the same updates that the CC versions get.

You may be right but i used Elements when content aware wasn't in it,and auto fill for stitched images, they do add these things to keep Elements viable but you have to wait until they are old hat.

Not really it costs me under £7 a month
That is half the price I saw on Adobe's website. $20USD.

Except I didn't click on "Plans". $9.99 for "Photography".
https://creative.adobe.com/plans?single_app=photoshop&promoid=65FN7XFX&mv=other

I'm still not sure I can justify $120/year.
I probably only understand 0.01% of my Elements 2.0. And I have been working with it for almost 10 years!
But I never joined a photography forum until I bought my first Nikon last August.

I was the same i used 2 for a lot of years, then bought 11 understood very little and now have CC and on a percentage basis probably understand the same, the point is you see something about an image you are not happy with so you you tube it and learn one more thing.

Yes, like just today I learned what Leading Lines are, thanks to an observation by @hark on one of @Bill16 's images!

Learning software on YouTube is sometimes tough for me. Many times they rush through the process (yes, I replay it over and over), or their version of the software is different from mine.

Once I am employed again I may consider CC. Right now I can't even upgrade Elements.
I really want a paycheck so I can get back in the NAS game! And pay the rent.... ;)
