I am taking photos of my rugby club in a cup final today and one of the jobs I have is to do the team photo before. I have hired a 70-200 for my 7200. I was wondering what lens to use and at what settings. As the team photo is the most important shot as i will only have one chance. Very nervous

Hey mate, you would need to use a wide angle lens especially with a large group. You would also need to get above them a bit either using a step ladder or chair/bench. I hope this helps a bit. Also remember to use a f-stop around f/11 or greater this should give you enough DOF.

Which of my lenses do you think i should use as really am unsure. The 35mm, the 10-24 or the 70-200 at 70?
I would actually be trying to shoot at 50mm if I could. And actually thinking about it start the f-stop around f/8 this should be fine. Take plenty of shots as people will blink etc. Watch out for lighting.

Maybe the 35 would be fine, I have not used this lens honestly.

Just thinking, if the group shot is on the field you should be able to use the 70-200 at 70 so long as you can get far enough away. Aperture at f/8 and focus about 1/3 of the way to the back into your group. You would most likely need a tripod for this aswell.
