The Brown sisters, over 40 years

Wow.

What amazes me about this sort of thing is having the idea in the first place.
Of course getting everyone together again each year is also possibly a huge challenge.

Thanks for sharing Rick

Will be interesting if they continue the project if (when) the numbers sadly decrease :(. Would be difficult on everyone.

I thought about that. easiest and maybe the best thing would be to stop on the death of the first one. Wouldn't be too pleasant to think of your departed sister and then wonder who will be next.

The photo story has been floating around for a while (I think I saw it on FB 6 months ago, or more?). Always interesting to see stuff like this. What I love is the change in body language over time. You can pose any way you want, but it's still possible to feel where there's tension and where there's attraction, and you can over time how life has changed the level of interconnectedness between them, likely owing to shared experiences - both joy and sorrow - and how this yearly moment has moved from, "OK, time for another one", to something eagerly anticipated.

I can only guess that the first shot was welcome enough on the wall of at least one of their homes that the second shot became necessary, even if only prompted by the photographer. Having the foresight to keep it going in the early years made it a mandatory thing moving forward. The closest I've come to this was when I wore the same golf shirt for my driver's license photo quite by chance when renewing it over 20 years ago. After noticing the coincidence it has been everything but a coincidence as I've put it on every 4 years since. Then I saw this guy.
