Taking headshots at work today

Doing a little shoot at work today. A few members of our team want shots for linkedIn profiles, etc.

Didn't bring stand/umbrella combo due to possible permit issues in the building. Plan to shoot and run lol

Ok, I have to ask, where did you get that strap for your flash and pocket wizard at. Its so high tech that it never occurred to me to use one... Duh...

Good luck

Wasn't after the solid background look for these. Is that suggested over the blurred background look?

The skintones look right on my monitors. The blue/green is from the glass which was about 200 feet behind the subjects. Is that background too distracting? We have a huge office building with a wide selection of backgrounds. A solid background is also an option.

I think the background is fine, colourful without being overbearing.

I do see a slight blue/green cast on their faces via my calibrated monitor. It's not too bad though & I'm not sure it matters for Linked-in.

Green tint visible here too.
I agree with ShootRaw about the background, it's a bit distracting to me and too colourful.
OK for linked in but if they were "wow!" you might get some extra work. ;)

Made a quick edit. Used AUTO White Balance in LR5, looks like I lost the green cast. Thoughts?

Next time I'll use an umbrella, speedlight and a stand.

Took a few more today. Different location and setup.

I have a LumoPro LP160 in the umbrella on camera right, 43" silver reflector on camera left.

White shade served as a backdrop.

Samples forthcoming.

I like the results. Planned to shoot at a nice location indoors, communication issue delayed my permit.
Ended up in a conf room, should have had a second light to make the shade pure white. I think they look OK anyway, I'll leave that to the panel here at Nikonites.

A newbie but they look a lot better that the first ones. The back ground on the others made me dizzy looking at them. The color is a lot better on these.
