The latest in my "Back to the 60's" project

I just got around to processing the film I shot from last week. The more I use that "antique" 105mm f/2.5 Nikkor P non-AI the more I like it. Sometimes less sharpness, more flare and lower contrast just make the image and add to the charm. The best $50 photo investment I ever made

Can see that it renders an image with great charm. Dead sharp would not have added anything to this photo. Good buy and great capture.

My 105mm f/1.8 would not have worked well at all for this. It is so sharp and contrasty, that the image would just not have that look from that era. Using modern day Tri-X would not have the same feel either without some manipulation either. I use TX in undiluted D-76 and developed at 75º to accentuate the grain. The cosmetics on that 105mm Nikkor P are pretty ugly, it is an pretty early "silver nose" but the glass and coatings are pristine. It was worth the money and then some. I did make one other concession, I used an F2 rather than an F but did not want to fork out that much dough for this project.
