Are there any good, reliable, and free apps for photo stitching? What do you guys use?

Also, is there a cost for upgrading my LR5 to LR6?

Thanks!

Speed of panno stitching is dependant on many factors, e.g. your computer specs and image size and number etc.

I also use a program I picked up for free called Zoner (I have version 17). It is a full fledged program and does pano.

It came up on the'giveaway of the day" site ( Giveaway of the Day - free licensed software daily ) It may be also free on their website. I pass on the GOD's offerings 99% of the time but every now and then they have a dandy freebie up for 24 hrs - what can I say, I'm a sucker for free - but it is buyer beware, way too much crap there and always have to watch for the 'extra's you don't want that come with the download. Maybe 10% of the time it is software of interest to photographers. I have maybe six specialty programs I've loaded that I have used - very infrequently. They also offer free tablet stuff, actually have used that more on my ASUS tablet.

A very good program, overall, but its panorama stitching is not nearly up to Microsoft ICE.

I got version 16 for free, and have since upgraded, when they offered a really low price on the upgrade, to version 18.

At this point, Zoner is my one go-to program for the vast majority of my photo processing.
