Easy exposure compensation

I have set my camera to "Auto Exposure Compensation" so that I can use the dial without holding down the +/- but it is not working. Any suggestions? I used the pencil menu/Custom Menu Setting/Metering/Exposure and selected b3 for Easy Exposure Compensation. Nikon D7200.

Answer: Use the sub-command dial.
