Newbie needs help with D7000 OR D5100

Hi All,

My first post here and i needed some help.

I bought these 2 camera's few years ago and have never been able to take a clear picture with them. I purchased them to take product pictures but when i do, all the edges are always blurred.

I did have the settings changed for me by a shop once and it worked great but somehow these got changed and i am having the same issues again.

Can you please help me take an all clear picture. Please tell me what i need to change, how and where as i have no clue on these camera's and cannot find the manual.

This would be a great help if you guys can please help this newbie out.

This is a simple Depth of Field issue... Try shooting at f/8 instead of f/4 and see where that gets you.

The easy way would be to photograph them from above is that's possible

I could and that works, but find the angled pictures do seem to look nicer.

Then you need to go with the f8 advice,you just need a smaller aperture ie higher number

Look at "aperture priority" in your manual.
