Help with D7200 to lightroom

Hello,

I am having trouble with uploading my photos from my d7200 to lightroom. The NEF files arent going through. Says something that they may be damaged but I have multiple memory cards that dont work with uploading from my 7200. Do I have to update my Lightroom?

Are you using a card reader to upload your files to Lightroom or are you plugging the camera to the computer and then try to use LR from the SD card?

I would suspect that either your usb cable or card reader could be faulty at times creating on an off problems.

Maybe if you'd explain your workflow I could help more, maybe...

Im not using a card reader. I just plug it into my mac. Am I suppose to use a card reader?

Doesn't your Mac have an SD card reader built in? Take the card out of the camera, and plug it into the SD card reader.

No it doesnt, mine is an older version Imac with OSX 10.5.8

I think that using a card reader could solve your problem. They are not expensive and can prevent a lot of headaches.

Do you have lightroom6? You need it for the 7200.

Either way, its not too big of a deal because I get my new Macbook Pro which has a card reader built in. Phew!
