Reliable batteries?

I'm after a back up EN-EL14, due to needing another battery on long shoots. Any reliable batteries you guys have used? A genuine battery is out of my price range at the moment. So any suggestions? The only legitimate battery I could find was the Inca EN-EL14. Anyway would love to hear some opinions.

Camera?
Personally I would end up sticking with an original en-el14. Certain aftermarket batteries will not work properly as they do not contain a chip in the batteries for the camera to communicate with.

I've used the Wasabi brand in both my D5100 and D610 for some time without any issues. Less than half the price of Nikon which come in over $100 in Canada for some odd reason.

I got mine off ebay. Brand on the battery is Progo. They work just fine in my D3100. $23 for a pair of them.
My camera will also show the battery condition as well.

I got stung once with counterfeit nikons off of ebay you can google up how to distinguish them - they are close but there are tell tale signs. better off using a third party that is sold by a legitimate vendor. As for price difference: NIKON EN-EL15 BATTERY 16356 = $99 from ebay Wasabi Power Battery for Nikon EN-EL15 is $46. Crazy eh?

If you pay like $10 per battery I have to wonder. I think the counterfeits I bought from China were maybe $20. It it sounds too good to be true it probably is. BTW they did work - I just didn't trust them.

OEM Nikon batteries for my cameras. I've never had a 3rd party battery hold a charge as long or live as long as OEM with any of my electronics (camcorders, cameras, phones)

Thanks for all the responses. It seems wasabi is the way to go! Obviously can afford to fork out $100+ for a genuine battery.

I end up paying $96.30 for shipping. So I'd rather go for something local or something where I don't pay stupid amounts for shipping.

$96 for shipping ?!?!?! Even shipping out of the country, that seems absurd.

Where in the world are you located, or where are you shopping, that shipping would set you back that much?

B&H will ship one to Turkey for only $75...
