Problem fitting HB45

Hello everyone.

I have recently bought HB45 lens hood for my 18-55 kit lens and I can't get it on. I want to know if this is the right lens as the ad in amazon where I bought it from clearly listed N3200 as compatible with the lens.

There are 2 or 3 hoods depending on which 18-55 lens you have.

Match up your lens on the Nikon website and see which accessories match.

You must have the latest version of the 18-55mm, the one with VRII. For that lens you need the HB-69 lens hood.

Fortunately, Nikon will only screw you $25 for their OEM version. Third party versions are available for less than $10.

Been there, done that. After insulting every Chinese factory worker on the planet, I checked the web and ordered the HB69.
