Do you retouch portraits or simply correct/edit it?

I am wondering your opinion on retouching portraits (not commercial beauty shoots) or simply correcting basics? I'm a capture pro one user and I've noticed long time ago that exporting raw files into ps as tiff just to retouch and then save as sRGB jpeg substantially ruining the quality. I'm shooting Nikon d810 and having constant dilemma whether I should perhaps try retouching in C1 unless it's a commercial beauty shoot where high end retouching is necessary. Important factor to run the business is also a speed. The less time at the computer the more I can shoot but often getting caught trying to make already great images looking even better and exporting into ps to do some high end stuff. Is it worth it? Hmm... Clients don't seem to notice much difference, don't seem to care because I try all my images to look good in the came as 85% time shooting tethered.

What are you thoughts and experiences?

Retouching maybe required some places. One client had a prominent pimple on the day of her wedding - so that was required to be retouched out - or a scar that only shows up in certain angles.
I don't go overboard and create new skin tone where none exist but I do try to ensure that the scars or sin imperfections don't distract from the overall image. :)
