I like smugmug - it is what I use. never had any problems with them.
Personally I like and use SquareSpace, nice and easy to use, all the coding and back end is done for you, all you need to do is build a website how you want it
I must admit, squarespace does look nice too - and if I were to ever leave smugmug, I would probably go to Squarespace.
Did you want to do blogging on your webpage? If so - smugmug sucks for blogging.
I was not aware of that, I find it suprising that Squarespace has nothing like that built in.I use Squarespace. It is pretty easy to set up a nice looking web site using their templates. But there is no easy way for an event photographer to sell prints. I think they have plugins for Smug Mug and/or Zenfolio, but I don't want to pay for both. I'll probably switch to one of the others when my subscription ends.
