what do you think a fair deal for a photographer that is just starting buisness ,

i might have an opportunity to put some photos up on a buisness website or multiple buisness websites that should be long term

im thinking of offering three packages for yearly payment

3 photos at 50 each
6 photos at 45 each
12 photos at 40 each

with options to sell prints on website and buisness and option to have two wall art in buisness for sale

sounds cheap but given i think i have an opportunity to build the sales to who knows maybe 10-100 sites , then it starts looking good and the legal agreement will be pricing to be evaluated every year or every two years and the 12 photo package looks enticing its 480 of each website per year with very minimal work as its buisnesses that are part of my hobby and id be doing it anyway

any thoughts would be much appreciated

If you referring to leasing images to be posted on their web site, I would say no. I would consider selling images to them to use for that purpose.

Once they have the image and post it, they have it. There is no way to 'repo' the image when the lease is 'up'.

a signed contract for them to use them for one year would do it , if they use it on thier website they are in copywrite breach id think , im thinking that if invoicing goes out once per year only for all sites , so a new site would get the first buyin as the remainder of the year , i know there is software that will do that for you and then you only have to worry about getting invoicing out once for all sites , penalties for using the image past the 12 month period with no payment that sort of thing , im just thinking i can sell the cheaper initial cost vs them paying 1k for a photographer, im looking for a different sales pitch

if i were to agree to sell rights what price are these worth for a establishing semi pro buisness , albeit i know that 80 percent of the sites ive visited have sub par photos

Two licensing options - perpetual or renewable. I've done both. Perpetual is easier to manage, though no easier to control should the user decide that an image agreed upon for a website would make for a consistent look in a brochure that they never tell you about. The problem is that you'll burn through your $50 license fee in one call to a lawyer to get a cease and desist letter sent, and unscrupulous businesses know that.

I prefer licenses with a fixed end date for the initial license and the option on the buyer's end to renew at a discounted fee every year in perpetuity. One contract and a reminder on the calendar to contact them yearly to ask about renewing - if only so they're reminded to either send a check or remove the image. But I can count the number of licensed images I have on my fingers and toes, so it's not a big deal.
