Wedding Photog Robbed of $13k and Wedding Photos

So their wedding pics were stolen I heard..Makes you wanna keep the sd cards on your person right after the shoot, incase something happens like this...Im assuming the cards were in the cameras and its why they were stolen..Crazy $hit..

This is actually quite scary, thanks for the reminder of how much our equipment is valued -- other photographers have scary stories such as this :x

It makes me wonder about night photography. I'm usually alone, somewhere dark and isolated. Luckily here crime is not that bad.

That's why I always carry something to defend myself with, I trust no-one, and I'm always on the lookout. Doesn't guarantee anything but it helps.

Same here. It's also why anything I carry making too much noise annoys me. When it is pitch black, I prefer to hear what happens around me instead of the tripod or bag I carry.

That someone might take a shot at your gear is unavoidable. That you didn't hear them coming isn't.

Well, keep whatever you're not using on your back, literally. In wedding case, guess it's time to hire assistants just to watch stuff and whatnot.
