Marathon Show :)

I just completed my final show of the year. It was a 3 day marathon in a local mall. Setup began 6:30 am on Friday and had to be there until 11pm. Saturday was in at 8am until 11pm and Sunday 8am-8pm, I'm exhausted! We did very well and had a lot of fun. This years #1 selling print was a lighthouse shot taken with my Nikon 1 V2 and the 10-30 kit lens. I sold about 25 of those shots and every 16x20 I had (from a 1" sensor :))!

We made enough profit from this show to pay for this new toy I have on pre-order :)

Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Lens V315050BU000

(80-300 equivalent 2.8)

After my second year I've learned a lot and have been able to order more precisely. We sold about 130 prints and 5 shots probably make up about 75% of the sales. The other 25% is all over. It's funny how something we might not like as a photographer is loved by someone else.

Now I can relax and get back to shooting!

Tough to tell from the lighting, but are you printing your landscapes on metallic paper?

Always nice to have a good show like that.

I'm still ordering non-corrected lustre to keep cost down. I do want to try some metallic and I may even get some metal of my most popular shots for next year. I just ordered a couple metal prints for gifts, so I'll see how I like them. I like how the metal prints with the shadow box mount are raised off the wall with no frame.

good mall for a booth, Rick......busy area up there! Congrats on a profitable show!

I'm about a mile from Destiny USA which is projected to become the second busiest mall in the United States. I talked to them last fall, but they do not allow "crafters" in (understandable). They did however offer me a Kiosk at $1,000.00 for a weekend in December if I met the no competition clauses of their tenants. Needless to say, my people did not call their people back.

My people wouldn't have called them back either....what? Is Congel on drugs? 1k for a weekend? I think you did great at Great Northern. Congrats on making enough to supply your NAS. Keep up the good work. You take some really great shots!
