Nice shots. If it were -25 here it'd be the apocalypse. :)

Does anyone else see a bit of a white glow around the lighthouse and the larger building in the first shot?

Yes there is a bit of glow, it's caused by a little too much sharpening. Not ott though

I agree...I guess my hands were still frozen at the time! Grin....I'm going to go back and work on the processing asap.

It's funny...Getting the composition in -25 degree weather was easier to me than getting the post proc. right. I'm going back to the site this weekend to try again. I'd go now but it's frustrating having to duck into the car every few minutes to fight off frostbite....The weekend promises to be a balmy 25-30 Above! grin.

Whoa! I really, really, really, really, *really*, like #1.

Why?
1. The processing...Rockwell like, IMO........no, not KR...Norman. Muted, just right to my taste.
2. The composition pleases my eye and brain.
3. Impact. I got cold just looking at it. :teapot:
4. It just looks natural. (At least from my vantage point in Missouri)

This belongs on a wall.

Did I mention I like it?

Thanks Carroll.....Even though I froze my ass off again, I wanted to catch better light than the first trip. I'm going to review the set and try and do a better job of post on it. With a less is more attitude.

Going back often lends a new perspective and is well worthwhile. A third trip may even give you a new insight and you will probably thaw out come spring:)
