Hello all, I am new to photography and am documenting my year in learning photography on a new blog. This weeks pictures is from a bike ride I took to a nearby park. So let me know what you think about this shot! Also it would be awesome if you could head over to my blog and give me some general feedback on my other pictures from the park. Tell me what you love and hate about them and give me ideas on what to work on over at, A Journey in Photography follow it as I will be updating it weekly! Thank you all

I think the perspective is all wrong here think of leading lines, you should be facing more down stream with the sun out of view as it is too blown out and detracts from the image. Also you should invest in a circular polarising filter to reduce the glare on the water and give more contrast in the sky.

I looked at your blog and most of your shots have the same problem the one here has. The horizon is dead center. Also you do need to make sure that horizon is level and especially water is not going downhill.

Google "Rule of thirds" and read up on it. Get used to seeing it when you shoot and once you do then you can figure out when and how to break that rule. This is one of the most basic rules of photography.
